Legend4ry D&D version 1.1

After yesterday's post I got excited and immediately set to implementing the rules changes discussed over the last few posts. Frankly it couldn't be helped, Legend4ry gets me excited and I hope it gets you excited, too. Things have come a  long way since I first began this blog in December and I feel that it shows.

Since I released version 1.0 of the rules on 4/16/12 I've learned a lot about what I thought was good design. I've also learned what I got right, so it wasn't completely negative. This feedback is crucial, as I said in my last post it makes me better as a designer and it makes Legend4ry better.

I'm thrilled to announce version 1.1 of the Legend4ry D&D Basic Rules. It should look familiar to the version released two weeks ago but with some minor and major changes in various places. Not only that, but I included a bonus at the end of the pdf. To access the Google Docs hosted version of this document just click the link above or you can find the link in the upper right hand corner under the heading "Legend4ry D&D."

When I released version 1.0 I knew I still had some work to go and some kinks to figure out. With v1.1 I feel like I have a finished product/rules set/hack/whatever. I'm happy with it. That said, I still would love to hear feedback about it. There is always the chance that I've simply over-looked something or just forgotten something and that's something I'd like to remedy sooner rather than later. That's where you come into the fun universe that is Legend4ry!

--------------------------

In addition to finishing up the (hopefully) last of the Legend4ry revisions, I've been working on a 4e Fourthcore/"Old-School" inspired conversion of the fantastic Dyson's Delve. I've finished with the conversions for the first of the eleven levels and cannot wait to play it. Once I receive permission from Dyson himself, I'll post a pdf here of the conversion for level one of the mini-megedungeon.

I'd also like to give a heartfelt thanks to the following people for either inspiration to actually sit down and write-up the Legend4ry rules and for actually helping me with rules decisions: Sersa V, C. Steven Ross, Frothsof 4e, and I'm sure many more that I'm forgetting currently.

Until next time,
