So, I've given into the scuttle-butt regarding D&D Next and have been reading up about it off and on all day. It's definitely interesting, but it's also served as one thing when it comes to writing Legend4ry articles: a huge distraction! Perhaps that's a good sign?
I've been compiling a list of my personal pros and cons from the system itself, but that's just from my initial read-through. A few things struck me as awkward and a few things I liked the idea of, but really I need to see this in play (from both sides of the screen) in order to gauge it properly.
So for now, I'll keep my mouth shut until I think I have actual constructive feedback and not just knee-jerk responses.
Now to get back to reading about this play-test and get to work on some new Legend4ry posts. Reading the play-test actually struck me with a little bit of inspiration as far as damage types go and a type of monster to build with that in mind while still being VERY 4e.
Until next time,
